Bronzing
As a classic means of finishing print products, bronzing represents the most effective tool when it comes to emphasizing precious products by their high brilliant appearance. Irrespective of the angle bronzing achieves a level of brilliance, unattainable by current metallic inks, pastes or effect coatings. Thus a premium print product with a sustainable value.
A range of production steps is required:
- initial offset printing
- in a second step the press prints a tacky ink (glue) on the spots that should get bronzed.
- the sheets are running from the printing press directly into the bronzing machine where the bronze powder gets polished into the special ink
- excess bronze pigments are wiped off and disposed via a closed extraction system
Bronzing is primarily employed in packaging for the cosmetics, confectionary industries or production of labels.
