ECP – Exact Colour Print

ECP exact colour print is a revolutionary colour system for offset printing. Based upon ISO 2846/1264 certified CMYK inks, ECP enable the reproduction of a vastly expanded CMYK colour spectrum.

• based upon the principle that printing at higher print densities allows the expansion of the normal CMYK colours, by adding silver and gold inks at various screen levels, ECP produces stunning metallic and pearl effects.
• ECP represents the first internationally standardised, downloadable special and metallic colour system based upon CMYK inks i.e. no special inks/mixtures are required.
• the system uses high ink densities to reproduce the 4.200 colours currently in the system, including metallic and pearl spot colours.
• thanks to special ICC profiles it is possible to print ECP colours together with normal print images without disturbing the images via the higher print densities, or producing undesired results

Common fields of application for ECP are e.g. the production of colour schemes for the automotive industry, to reflect colours of the cosmetics industry and to illustrate colour intensive details.
