Developed by associations in the printing and media industry in collaboration with the research institutes Fogra and UGRA, PSO ensures the highest quality standards throughout the entire production chain.<\/p>\n

Alcohol-free printing \u2013 good for people and the environment<\/p>\n

The use of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) in the dampening unit releases CO\u2082 during decomposition and is harmful to health. At BASTIAN, we have taken consistent action:<\/p>\n

From an average IPA content of 10% to 0%!<\/p>\n

After an initial phase with only 3%, we now completely avoid alcohol in our dampening solution \u2013 another building block in our eco-concept for the benefit of people and the environment.<\/p>\n

Chemical reduction in printing plate exposure<\/p>\n

Thanks to modern technology, we have been able to drastically reduce the chemicals used in printing plate exposure:<\/p>\n

From 18,000 liters to 1,300 liters per year \u2013 a reduction of over 92.7%!<\/p>\n

100% green electricity since 2017<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of 2017, we have been sourcing 100% of the energy for our entire machine park from green electricity.
